4 Days 3 Night Arusha/ Lake Manyara/Ngorongoro/Tarangire:

Day 1.

Lake Manyara National Park.

Our clients depart Arusha in the morning at around 7.00hrs to Lake Manyara National Park for the full day game drive in the park. Picnic Lunch will be served at the park then have a drive to the lodge for a hot dinner and your overnight stay.

Lake Manyara is known for its tree-climbing lions and has the most pachyderms per km sq in Tanzania. Buffaloes and hippos also lurch in the adjacent Hippo Pool. The vegetation eventually merges into a flat topped accacia woodland where in the heat of the day, lions can be seen stretched on the branches of these trees—a habit prevalent to Manyara lions.

Day 2.

Lake Manyara to Ngorongoro Crater:

After having an early breakfast, we’ll depart for Ngorongoro Crater for the full day game drive with picnic lunch in the crater. Later on, we’ll drive back to the lodge for a hot dinner and your overnight stay.

Ngorongoro’s caldera shelters the most beautiful wildlife haven on earth. The rich pasture and permanent water of the Crater floor supports a resident population of some 20,000 to 25,000 large mammals. They are not confined by the Crater walls, and can leave freely; they stay because conditions are favourable. Since most of the Crater floor is grassland, grazing animals such as gnus, zebras, gazelles, buffalo, elands and kongoni (Coke’s hartebeest) and warthogs predominate. The swamp and forest provide additional resources for hippos, giant-tusked elephants, waterbucks, reedbucks and bushbucks, baboons, velvet monkeys , and some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. The steep inner slopes provide a habitat for dik-diks and the rare mountain reedbuck.

Day 3.

Tarangire National Park.

After breakfast, we will drive to Tarangire , entering that park at around 9.00am and enjoy game drive in search of wildlife. The park owes its name to the Tarangire River which flows across the area. It is characterized by dense vegetation of accacia and mixed woodland, dominated by huge baobab and old doum palm trees to a lesser prominence, as well as black cotton grass. Picnic Lunch on the banks of Tarangire river. Tarangire is famous for the annual animal immigration that takes place during the dry season. Drive to the lodge for hot dinner and overnight.

Day 4.

Tarangire back to Arusha:

After breakfast,. Our clients check out and drive back to Arusha,. With a visit to the Maasai villages and cultural art- crafts for souvenirs.
